The Indian Technical Education Society offers affiliation to institutes which are imparting Technical Education / training to students and sending them for the qualifying Examinations conducted by the society. This affiliation entitles them to certain privileges as also levies on them certain responsibilities.
1. The institutions aspiring for affiliation should give their application for affiliation by filling tabular form which is printed in Prospectus.
2. It is essential to enclose copies of Prospectus with full details of the courses being conducted along with application form.
3. After the affiliation is granted, Institution shall not be allowed to advertise being affiliated to I.T.E.S. if the renewal fee is not paid for the faculties for which the institute is affiliated. The institutions shall not be allowed the display of certificates after the date of expiry of affiliation or after the affiliation if discontinued by the ITES for non observance of the Rules prescribed by ITES.
4. Provisional affiliation may be sanctioned to a technical institutes which fulfill the requirements of affiliation, and there after the institute will be inspected by the person deputed by ITES and if the inspection report is positive / okay, then regular affiliation certificate will be issued, otherwise temporary / provisional certificate will continue till the institute is re-inspected and positive / ok inspection report is submitted by the inspector
1. ITES will conduct the First Inspection Free of cost, after grant of Temporary / Provisional affiliation.
2. If Second Inspection is required, a sum of Rs. 500/- will be charged to the concerned institute where second inspection is to be held.
3. For Third and Final Inspection if required a sum of Rs. 700/- will be charged to the institute inspected by the I.T.E.S. before granting the regular affiliation.
4. If rejected in the third / final inspection, institute should apply with Fresh Affiliation Form and Fee for the Temporary / Provisional affiliation.
Any institution applying for Urgent inspection for permanent affiliation shall have to pay 0Rs. 1000/- inspection fees and First class To and Fro fare for a person in advance along with a request letter for urgent inspection.
In following cases fresh affiliation will have to be obtained by the institute.
Change of Management.
Change of Name of the Institute.
Change of place such as change of town, If institute changes their Location / Management / Name the ITES will charge the over charges as decided by ITES for time to time or as per situation.
1. The Sponsored candidates are awarded National level standard Certificates on passing the respective trade Examinations.
2.The affiliated institutes can get necessary guidance from the experts on the panel of the ITES Exam Board on :
a. Syllabi for various Examination.
b. Suggesting suitable books.
c. Improving facilities for laboratory training by suggesting suitable equipment.
d. Organizing training for staff of affiliated institutes etc.
3. Literature, Syllabi, Prospectus, Question Papers published from time to time are made available to the affiliated institutes,
a. Seminars are held at regular intervals.
b. The affiliated institute is indirectly represented in the industry.
c. The affiliated institutes satisfying certain conditions are selected as Examination Centre for Theory and Practical Examinations. Centre Remuneration is paid to institute for examinations.
d. Qualified staff members on the roll of the institute are taken on the panel of examiners maintained by the ITES for Examination work.
e. The candidates sent by the affiliated institutes are not required to pay the separate Registration fee for each candidate.
1. Proper classroom accommodation for conducting of Theory classes on a scale considered suitable has to be provided.
2. A laboratory of workshop with adequate equipment for training of candidates in the subject for which affiliation is sought, has to be made available.
3. A library of standard Technical Books on the concerned subjects is to be maintained.
4. Staff engaged for teaching Theory and Practical work should have adequate recognized qualifications and experience in the subjects they teach.
5. The courses conducted should have duly specified timing for lectures and Practical work.
6. Periodical inspection of the affiliated institutes may be carried out at any time.
7. If at any time after granting the affiliation, it is found that any of the provisions laid down for the purpose are not satisfied, the ITES reserves the right to cancel the affiliation and call back the affiliation certificate.
8. The affiliated institutes are required to pay annual renewal fee.
9. It is obligatory on the part of affiliated institutes to make available accommodation and Lab facilities in their institutes at the time of ITES Examinations for all students including External students. If examination center is granted.
10. The institute desiring to have a Centre for Theory and Practical Examination will be inspected before the grant of centre.
11. If the Inspecting authority finds that the details of the equipments furnished by the institute are inadequate, the Centre will be withdrawn, and affiliation may be cancelled.
12. If the institutions fails to pay the affiliation renewal fee, even after reminders Examination application forms of such institution shall not be accepted.
13. Since the affiliation of the institutes is meant for developing the relation with the other affiliated institutions, it is expected that the affiliated institutions participate in all the activities of the ITES.
14. The affiliated institutions should not advertise that Certificate issued by the ITES are recognized by the State or Central Government.
15. In the event of any dispute arising out of affiliation, Principal of the affiliated Institutions will address all the correspondence to the Chairman of Board of Trustee ITES .
16. Institute will have send / sponsor candidates for ITES Examination in every session / alternate session in sufficient number.
17. All disputes subject to Mumbai Jurisdiction only.
Note : The ITES reserves the rights :
1. To refuse affiliation without giving any reasons.
2. To withdraw the affiliation of the institutes which fail to send students for two consecutive years.
3. To withdraw affiliation for breach of rule / conduct.
4. To announce in local papers the cancellation of affiliation.
5. To withdraw affiliation for non compliance of requirements
1. Affiliation Registration fee revised to Rs. 5,500/-
2. Annual Affiliation Renewal fee of Rs. 1,800/- shall be paid by the affiliated institute, for contuning Affiliation with ITES. (For Year starting from 1st April to 31st March).
3. Above Rule is applicable from 17/07/2017 onwards. Affiliated institutes can sponsor students for any course assessed by ITES irrespective of faculty. For which they have the necessary infrastructure which is duly inspected and approved by ITES.

4. Affiliated institute adding new courses can get their infrastructure inspected by paying a nominal fee of Rs.200/-
